Hello SUMMER!! Warm weather, sunshine-filled days and vacations (or staycations!) are on the agenda, and we are ready for it all -- with our favorite oils and Young Living products in tow! Here are some of our best tips, tricks, recipes and DIYS for enjoying the summer months to the fullest.
SUMMER SKIN
Two simple steps for getting that beach body:
1. Have a body.
2. Go to the beach.
Of course, it wouldn't hurt if our skin was smooth & glowing too, right?! A few of our favorite summer body DIYS!
Margarita Body Scrub via Hello Glow
- 1/2 cup salt- You can use regular salt, kosher salt or leftover margarita salt.
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1-2 tablespoons tequila
- Juice of 1 lime
- A few drops of Lime EO
- Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl until you have a paste. Add more olive oil if needed. Then scrub away in the shower. One note of caution – use the scrub before you shave, not after, because it might burn. The tequila and lime juice are natural antiseptics, the salt exfoliates any dead skin, and the olive oil adds lots of moisture!
Grapefruit Body Smoothing Oil
- Cel-Lite Magic Massage Oil
- Grapefruit Essential Oil
- In your hands, mix together one pump of Cel-Lite Magic + one drop of Grapefruit. Massage into legs and arms in a circular motion. Continue on any areas that need a little extra smoothing & get your beauty sleep! Be sure to shower before going out in the sun!
DIY Vitamin C Facial Toner
Vitamin C and Geranium are a dynamic duo when it comes to brightening the skin. Try out this simple toner as we head into the summer!
- 2 oz glass dropper bottle
- 1&1/2 tsp organic vitamin c powder
- 5 drops Geranium essential oil
- 3 Tbsp distilled water
- Splash alcohol-free witch hazel (optional for more oil-prone skin)
- Mix vitamin C powder into the water until dissolved, then add Geranium and top with a splash of witch hazel (optional). Use morning and evening or as desired.
- Store up to 2 weeks at room temperature or longer in the fridge.

BACKGROUND
Abundance essential oil blend features Orange, Frankincense, Patchouli, Clove, Ginger, Myrrh, Cinnamon Bark, and Black Spruce essential oils, which were used by ancient cultures to attract prosperity and magnify joy and peace. Each oil in this blend was chosen for its unique properties!
KEY INGREDIENTS

Citrus aurantium dulcis (Orange) peel oil, Boswellia carterii (Frankincense) oil, Pogostemon cablin (Patchouli) oil, Eugenia caryophyllus (Clove) bud oil, Zingiber officinale (Ginger) root oil, Commiphora myrrha (Myrrh) oil, Cinnamomum zeylanicum (Cinnamon) bark oil, Picea mariana (Black spruce) leaf oil
KEY CONSTITUENTS
*Constituents are naturally occurring compounds in plants (and therefore essential oils) that give them specific health-supporting properties
Alpha pinene: a powerful antioxidant, some studies have shown alpha-pinene to support the body through inflammation and to help calm the mind
Bornyl acetate: may help calm and focus the mind
DAILY HABITS WITH ABUNDANCE
- Diffuse as you work, read, and contact others.
- Dab onto letters, packages, and envelopes you are sending out to business contacts.
- Apply to your wrists and over your heart as you pray over your team, your time, and your future in this business.
- Put on the edges of your calendar and planner so that every time you are thinking of your time commitments, you are shifting to a viewpoint of abundance and choice.
- Drop on a diffuser bracelet in your purse or wallet and stop thinking of money as something in short supply. Money will ALWAYS be there and there will be ways to attain it. TIME? That's the one you guard. Use your time to find ways to pursue freedom and residual income where your money works FOR YOU.
- Make a daily perfume or cologne roller:
- Abundance, Tangerine, Hope
- Abundance, Lavender, Frankincense
- Abundance, Vetiver, Bergamot
- Abundance, Vanilla, Lavender
- Place 1-2 drops of Abundance on the crown of your head each day to focus your intention on hope and vitality.
- Make a daily Gratitude Roller:
- 10 drops Joy
- 7 drops Orange
- 5 drops Abundance
- Top with a carrier oil and roll on liberally + frequently!
- Make DIY Oil-Infused Shower Melts
- 1 Cup Baking Soda
- 1/2 Cup High Quality Epsom Salt
- 30 Drops Abundance
- Water (about 2-3 teaspoons)
- Silicone mold
- Pour the baking soda and epsom salt into a mixing bowl. Slowly add water, about 2 teaspoons, and mix well. If the mixture is not holding, add another teaspoon of water. Add essential oil(s) of your choice and mix well. Scoop into silicone molds and let sit overnight. Remove and store in an airtight container.
- To use, simply place a shower melt on the floor of the shower near the water but not directly in the stream. Enjoy!
- Make a DIY Whipped Body Butter:
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 cup pure organic shea butter
- 1 Tbsp Vitamin E oil
- 20 drops Abundance
- 15 drops Tangerine
- Melt together coconut oil, shea butter and cocoa butter, then add in vitamin E oil and whisk.
- Refrigerate until almost half solidified, then use a mixer to whip for 1 to 2 minutes until a fluffy consistency is achieved. Add in essential oils then place in a glass jar.
- Whip up a DIY Massage Oil:
- 4oz pump bottle
- 20 drops Abundance essential oil
- 10 drops Lavender essential oil
- 10 drops Orange essential oil
- Carrier of choice
- Give your tired feet some love with this DIY Foot Scrub
- 2 Tbsp Organic Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 Tbsp of Honey
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- 3 drops Abundance
- 2 drops Peppermint (optional)
- Mix ingredients well then rub onto feet. Wrap fee with warm damp towels and let sit for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes remove towel and wipe off scrub. Follow with moisturizer if desired

- Diffusing is a wonderful health habit! We have our diffuser going almost 24/7 and love to choose blends that are supportive of individual needs or systems. Try some of these great combinations and add the uplifting aroma of Abundance to your day!

INGREDIENTS:
- ½ pound root vegetables (carrots, sweet potatoes, etc)
- 1 ½ tablespoon olive oil
- 3 gloves garlic, pressed
- 1 drop Lemon Vitality essential oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 425°
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper
- Prep veggies and cut into ¼-inch sticks
- Combine olive oil, garlic, and lemon vitality EO and toss veggies in mixture
- Arrange veggies in single layer on baking sheet and sprinkle with salt
- Roast for 15 mins; turn; return to oven for 10-15 additional minutes (or until edges are crispy)
- Sprinkle with additional salt and pepper to taste.
